Romania’s new intermodal gateway to Western Europe - event on 14th November 2024

Together with the project partners CFL multimodal and Ecco-rail, Railport Arad organized a successful partner meeting at the Curtici terminal, entitled “Romania’s new intermodal gateway to Western Europe”. The event was held for celebrating the launch of the latest direct intermodal railway connection in Europe, between Curtici and Bettembourg, with a frequency of 3 roundtrips per week, running already from beginning of October.

With an attendance of nearly 100 professionals from Romania and Europe, representing railway operators, trucking, forwarding and logistic companies, the meeting was an excellent opportunity to change ideas, experience, and best practices during a discussion panel with Q and A session, and an important networking possibility for all the participants.

The rank of the event was further increased by the valuable contribution of Mr. Ralf-Charley Schultze, president of UIRR.

Speeches were delivered also by Mr. Bogdan Ban, mayor of Curtici and by Mr. Iustin Cionca, President of the Arad County Council, who praised the importance of the investments made by Trade Trans Group in Curtici, thanks to the visionary approach of Mr. Dieter Kaas, president of the group.
