Sylwester Pruchniewski - new CEO of PS TRADE TRANS

Since April 12 this year the largest Polish rail freight company Trade Trans has the new CEO. The shareholders have decided to dismiss from this function Mr. Zbigniew Janicki and appoint Mr. Sylwester Pruchniewski - former member of the Board. Mr. Karl Meglitsch remain on Executive Vice President role.

Austrian electric locomotives "Taurus" on the Polish border station Chalupki

Since April 2013 on the Polish border station Chalupki the ÖBB electric locomotives are seen from Siemens Eurosprinter series - recently informed the Polish Railway Market.

These locomotives take the coal and coke in transit via the Czech Republic to the different destination stations in Austria.

Łukasz Boroń - new CEO of PKP CARGO SA

Many Polish media informed yesterday about appointment of the new CEO at PKP CARGO SA, which was necessary after the resignation of Wojciech Balczun in January this year. This nomination applies to the current Board Member for Finance, Mr Łukasz Boroń, who worked on this position since July 2012. His most important task is preparing the PKP CARGO SA for the IPO later this year.

The current Board Member of Trade, Mr. Marek Zaleśny - after the resignation of CEO W. Balczun - remained at his post.

Chairman of the Board of PKP CARGO SA resigns

Polish media informed yesterday, the 28th January 2013, that Wojciech Balczun, CEO of PKP Cargo SA resigned on 5 Anniversary of taking chairman position.

As a reason for this decision, need for a new professional challenge was given. This situation should not affect planned IPO entry of PKP CARGO SA.

The former commercial board, Marek Zaleśny will temporarily cover exempt function.

First train with CMA CMG containers arrived at RAILPORT ARAD/CURTICI

The first block train with CMA CGM containers arrived on 6th of December to international CARGOCENTER ARAD/CURTICI. Next trains with containers are planed between Budapest and Curtici and between Curtici and different stations in Romania. CMA will use CURTICI as regional hub. Starting from 2013 a weekly circulating block trains will operate.
