Establishment of regional intermodal terminal in Bosnia and Hercegovina

Following the positive effect of strategic location of RPA on development plans of Trade Trans Group in western Balkans, Company decided to move forward with implementing of the intermodal transport solutions in the region, with establishment of intermodal terminal in Banja Luka (BiH). Our subsidiary Trade Trans Log from Banja Luka successfully started a first regular intermodal train from December 2016 and after several months of train operation, Company signed a rental agreement for a designated area directly connected with main regional cargo train station, a first step towards development of a modern container terminal in Bosnia and Hercegovina. The terminal will be set up within the existing rail infrastructure in cooperation with local railways.

Future TT Railport Banja Luka, shall closely cooperate with local and foreign forwarding companies that will support intermodal terminal with logistic services. We believe that like our terminal in Curtici, Romania, the project in Banja Luka, will provide work in the local community, incomparably cheaper transport solutions for the regional exports sector and environmentally friendly intermodal means of transport in line with the EU policy of transferring away traffic from road to rail.
